What makes a website feel professional?

What makes a website feel professional?

A professional website is easy to explain. You know what it is for, who it is for, and what to do next. Decoration can wait.

Structure comes first. Pages should follow a sequence a visitor can feel without a map: introduce, support, then ask. If that sequence is muddy, no amount of animation will save it.

Type and space do most of the luxury. Generous margins, a limited palette, and a type scale that holds on a phone — that is usually enough. A web designer’s job is often to refuse the extra block.

Speed is part of the impression. A beautiful first screen that arrives late already feels cheap. Performance is not a separate phase after design; it is a constraint inside it.
